I have a post here over at Progress on the Spice Girls and politics including a link to their notorious Spectatpr interview from exactly 11 years ago (makes me feel old) when they came out for Major. They are also listed here in the Observer's list of right-wingers in rock but according to Wiki Geri switched to Labour for the 2001 election for a PPB that I have no recollection of having seen. Anyone know which way they swing now that (a la Led Zep) they are doing a comeback and have been endorsed by Ed Balls? Noel Gallager predictably denounced Blair not long after all the iconic photos.  Blair for his part worried that Oasis would trash Downing Street so only extended the invite to one band-member. Is Geri still "one of us" though?
