Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey tonight (29 May 2008) came under sustained criticism for her actions during the last week of the London Mayoral election when Boris Johnson's team gleefully announced that Hoey would be advising him on sport if he were elected.

Jasper takes aim at Kate Hoey
It appears that Lee Jasper is considering a challenge to deselect Kate Hoey. Irrespective of people’s views on Jasper I am increasingly wondering if Kate Hoey is really someone suited to being a member of the Labour party.

Field and Hoey face withdrawal of whip
The BBC is reporting that Gisela Stuart and Graham Stringer have resigned from the "I want a referendum" campaign committe, after Geoff Hoon threatened to withdraw the Labour whip. But Frank Field and Kate Hoey have said they are still fully committed to the project which targets pro-European MPs with small majorities (all bar one of whom just happen to be Labour).
CLPs call for Hoey censure
Chippenham Constituency Labour Party has now been joined by another CLP, Aberconwy in North Wales, in unanimously passing a motion condemning the Labour MP Kate Hoey and calling for action by the Parliamentary Labour Party Chief Whip and the NEC over her chairing of the 'Countryside Alliance'.
