Curse of Labourhome - Why Barack lost

Now the dust has settled, it is time to explain what happened. Last week I posted about Money Shop and Payday UK on Labourhome who have high street stores which target vulnerable “customers” with unsecured short term loans and charging up to 1330% APR.

I got some very useful comments. Labourhome commentator “Rwendland” pointed out that even in the land of the free; many US states limit the amount of interest that can be charged on loans. They are even called usury laws. Other countries also have such laws. In Canada they have a legal limit of 60%.

So there are precedences to ban this vile practice.

According to the influential and widely read Huffington Post Hilary Clinton has taken the first step in a bid for the White House. Six years after making history by winning a United States Senate seat as First Lady, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is set to announce that she is taking the first formal step toward seeking the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, according to Democrats familiar with her decision.

If successful, Mrs. Clinton, 59, would be the first female nominee of a major American political party, and she would become the first spouse of a former president to seek a return to the White House
