Whilst the effects of 2.5% VAT reduction percolates through the system, or the banks are coaxed and cajoled to be softer, I proposed, a la Obama’s direct plans, that the government should declare an immediate 90-day moratorium on repossessions and distressed debt payments by householders and SME. 

From the beginning it looked bad, e.g. losing letters from the Shadow Home Secretary about a Labour MP being bugged.

I've only recently noticed a petition on the Downing Street website by the Innocent Smoothies company.
