Bethnal Green & Bow CLP has announced its selection timetable and will be selecting from an open shortlist. The London Regional Labour Party will be administering the process in this constituency, which has a history of "difficult" selections.

George Galloway originally announced that he would only remain the MP for the area for a single term - yet there is no clear agreement who will replace him as the Respect candidate and he may yet seek a second term.

Clacton CLP is also inviting potential candidates to apply for selection.
