Tory in racist outburst (#1)

I must protest about the fuss over this.

It was a common phrase, meant inoffensively, even in the 70's and clearly slipped out in the peer's speech.

OK, ask for an apology if you are unable to accept someone made a small mistake, but after that, leave the bloke alone and get on with your own life and stop making 'race' relations worse with your bullying 'sack him' remarks.

By the way, as a Christian, I believe there is only one race: the human race.

Maybe if we call it 'people relations' we can learn to forgive each other without boiling over in rages over 'racial' issues and national news can be reserved for appropriate issues of which there are many that never make the headlines.
