Brown please listen!!!!

I am sick and tired of 'We are listening!'  I don't think we are on any issue.  This state of denial will lead to one thing, defeat!  I have nothing to lose but the Labour party and the country have.  Do we want another tory government, which destroyed our miners, taught our young that capitalism is the way forward.  I say this with some meaning  CHANGE POLICY NOW!!!!

Thanks

A frustrated PPC

If you're implying that Gordon isn't listening but you are, what do you think the people want? What will you, as a Labour PPC, be campaigning on if it's not the record of the government?

Re: Brown please listen!!!! (#2)

Background helps being a union shop steward and somebody who talks to 'non-select' people.  There are a number of things we need to do.

1) Levy the oil companies and give the meny back to the poorest suffering at present
2) Try and renationalise some of these industries as a fre market isn't working
3) Introduce now the index link for pensioners not 2011

etc

I could be hear for hours

Thanks

Joh

Ok, you're the PPC, theoretically either next year or in 2010 you could be part of the PLP, tell me exactly how you propose that in the next two years we can regain the initiative? What industries should we nationalise and why? How do we use the money from an energy company windfall tax to help the poor - tax cuts or more tax credits?

Re: Brown please listen!!!! (#6)

more likely to raise tax credits for the poorest

John

Re: Brown please listen!!!! (#5)

We increased the levy on North Sea oil in 2005 from 10% to 20%. We haven't got the money to nationalise anything more (still suffering indegestion from Nationalising Northern Rock), and we we also haven't got the money to bring forward the indexing of pensions.

And the £2.7bn to fix the 10p thing proves that throwing money doesn't change a single thing as far as by-elections go.

If you can't understand realities detailed above, you are going to be a very poor MP if you get elected....

Re: Brown please listen!!!! (#3)

Jon, could you cut down on the exclamation marks please?  They make you sound slightly mad, which I'm sure you're not.
