Yes I did have to honour to stand for Labour in the local elections and no I did not win. Surprisingly, working for a union did not help me, as I took a lot of flack from within the union for standing for Labour but that's another story. However our campaign strategy in the Vale of Glamorgan did work whilst we kept the Nationalists busy in my ward we managed to take two seats off them in another part of Barry. This was always our plan and after three years hard, hard work we did it. Also in my ward, my fellow candidate Jane Owen and myself 'increased' the Labour vote by 25%. OK we did not win but it shows that people will vote for us if we give them a reason to. If only the people at the top would get back to our core values we would have a much better time.
Remember Plaid did not support the minimum wage
We are right, they are wrong.
