Why I will be voting Grassroots alliance for the NEC

Without many left independants, I am supporting the GRA slate for the NEC elections later this Month.  Amongst the list are some progressives, they are a better choice than Labour first, although there are some decent people amongst them.  What I will guarantee is that I will stand next time for the NEC as a progressive and left-winger, which I am proud of. .  It is the case that the Labour First slate needs more experience and the GRA has got stale and needs more younger people and people from the left.  This will be a close election and I do hope we have a debate about the direction to a more progressive wing.  I would also like to see less personality politics!!

With regards to all

NEC 2008 (#1)

I don't think I have ever voted for a whole slate. This time I was looking forward to voting for you John and it's a shame you pulled out.

My choice so far are:
Ann Black - always at the top of my list
Ellie Reeves
Peter Wheeler
Peter Kenyon

Not really sure who else to back at this stage. Are there any interesting independents?

And of course, I will be voting for Mark McDonald for Treasurer, over Jack Dromey, who has been overseeing party finances for the past four years.
