Boris on Blair

From today’s Sunday Times, Page 2: -

"The problem with Ian Blair is that he is not a policeman's policeman. He is more interested in getting all the boxes ticked, in meeting targets than actually fighting crime."

It's a bizarre claim, and possibly actionable. If Boris seriously wants to cut crime, perhaps he should start with criminal libels against serving policemen?

Re: Boris on Blair (#2)

If Doris truly wants to cut crime then he should put his personal feelings aside and actually try working for his £100,000 by doing what he said..working with all people from all parties to get things done..he should save his personal gripes for his memoirs..Ian blair is by no means a perfect copper in fact far from it but i would say he knows a little more about crime in london than bozo does.

Re: Boris on Blair (#3)

I personally believe Ian Blair should have resigned over his role in the cover-up of the death of Jean Charles De Menezes.

I am against the libel laws, but as the Mayor-elect knows nothing about the city, compared to Ken, he is in a precarious position in commenting on London's policing methods.

Re: Boris on Blair (#4)

Mis-leading.  Boris didn't say that, and aide said it.
