If labour had played its hand correctly, there should have never been any opportunity for a tory resurgence - they should have been finished and split apart.

There is a culture of "us and them" in regards to this labour government. It is high time that "us" - the grassroots - were given the power over the direction of this party.  

Restore democracy to conference and begin a massive policy consultation to be made by and voted by the grassroot members.

If Browns wishes to avoid a bloodbath at the next conference - he better start listening to US! The members of the party that he "leads".

The Prime Minister no longer has the authority that he once had, he has broken the coalition between the left-centre-right of this party and we need policy that keeps it together or we will lose. If Brown floats and drifts for the next 2 years - he will go down in history as the worst labour prime minister.

Regressively targeting the poor to pay for the middle is a travesty of judgement, make another mistake like that and the party vultures will start circling.
