Keep that Beige Suit on Ken!

Watched the delightful London Mayoral debate on the BBC's Politics Show earlier on, better than the other debates I've seen  maybe because Jon Sopel actually seemed to know what he was doing as debate Chair. (Tim Donovan was also a joy to watch in the London part of the show where he just demolished all of Boris Johnson's assertions as if he were swotting away an irritating mini mosquito....).

Anyway, back to the national part of the prog.

I was delighted to see Ken looking much more like his old self, smiling and delivering some of the classic Ken one liners we've all come to know and love like this gem:

"I think Londoners want someone who've lived North of the river and South of the river.  I think that makes me practically mixed race".

What struck me as soon as I saw him was the old beige suit.  It has always been Ken's classic "look" and it brought back all sorts of happy memories seeing him clearly enjoy himself this morning wearing it.

He also stood out because Johnson and Paddick were wearing the dullest-of-dull dark Mr Byrite combos (apologies to anyone who's a fan of cheap and cheerful Mr Byrite!) so the viewer was automatically drawn towards Ken's little (and Ken's classic) splash of colour.

My advice to whoever's styling our Ken for the last few days of this thing, keep him wearing that beige suit as often you can - especially on QT this Thursday!

Good show Ken! Keep it up! We're all behind you!

Re: Keep that Beige Suit on Ken! (#2)

Missed the show this afternoon, but looking forward to QT on Thursday - every time they debate it just proves how Ken is competent choice for Mayor compared to Dumb and Dumber either side of him.
