Crow and RMT call tube strike days before election

What on earth is wrong with him?
Doesn't Bob Crow understand that he is undermining Ken Livingston and giving Boris Johnson more ammunition to use against them and gain support for a no-stirke agreement.
According to TfL he has been given assurances that there will be no staff losses as a result of Metronet's collapse, so it seems there is no valid reason for a strike.
Why of all dates does he have to call it before the elections, could have called it for after the elections, but no, had to be before.
If Ken's popularity suddenly declines because of this then we all know why.

Re: Crow and RMT (#1)

1. Bob Crow doesn't call the strikes. The relevant elected committees of RMT members on LUL request a strike ballot and the members voted Yes.

2. Don't believe a word TfL say. This is about a lack of cast-iron written guarantees.

3. The point is obviously to win gains at a time when it would be damaging for Ken to let the strike go ahead. Excellent tactics.

4. Crow has no loyalty to the Labour Party, being an ex-Communist Party and Socialist Labour Party member. His members did not elect him to do the best for the Labour Party but for the members.
