Brown enlists first lady to give Britain style

Well known journalist Avril de Poisson has written today in the Guardian about Brown bringing in Carla Bruni to encourage more style in Britain

See http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2008/apr/01/7

Brown will say ""I want a Britain, now and in the future, where good taste and sophistication are the birthright of the many, not the privilege of an elite, whether in fashion, in food and drink, or in cultural pursuits"

Right on brother Brown!

Re: Brown enlists first lady to give Britain style (#1)

I was just about to suggest this may be an April Fool when I noticed the tags you'd put on it. ;)

The sad thing is when I first read I wondered if he was really getting desperate.

The key line for me was the line where the French embassy say they are working around the clock 'from 9am to 3pm' :) great line.
