There is clearly a plan in place favouring David but how or why as he could easily have been moved sideways? Jack Straw would do anything to help himself stay awake on the front bench.We hear that Ed Balls is angry with the new invigorated P.M.(Mandy not Gordon) but doesn't want to get his hands dirty at the Treasury himself . The heat is off popular with the rank and file Caroline Flint- so deftly moved to Europe to assist David Milliband and be coached by the irrepressible Mandy. No coincidence that just in case those extremely attractive emergency Housing Policies go wrong Margaret Beckett is generously stepping in.
So what is this all about. Well obviously a few divide and rule tips have come from Mandy. Let us just say things will be a lot quieter on the North West rebels frontier and the gender correctness lobby are further in the ascendancy. Who benefits most from this ? The super loyal David Miliband faction of course and Ed is not exactly doing so badly either is he?
