General Melchett gave the order to "climb out of the trenches and walk very slowly towards the enemy", and today it looks like you've done the same Alistair!
It was obvious yesterday that Ireland's move to guarantee all bank deposits was going to lead to capital flight from the UK. You should have dealt with it yesterday, and you could have done it with one interview (OK, not one word).
We're not going to let any depositor lose money, save those who've got more than £35,000, soon to be £50,000, in one UK bank. So why the hell don't you spell this out and stop the capital flight?
Spell. It. Out.
Thanks, Darling!
(P.S. I realise that you must hate being likened to your Blackadder namesake, but, hey, it's your fault!)
