Stephen Carter has just been appointed 'principal advisor' in Brown's political team.



Love them or loathe them, Blair's team - Campbell, Powell, Turner etc. - were pretty well known.


Anyone know much about Brown's team and what they do?

Labour needs a spin doctor, it's pretty obvious. especially now labour is going to change the way public workers get paid.

We don't need another Alaister Campbell. The decisions and actions we take will speak for themselves. No more spin, but honesty please.

Apparently Carter won't be allowed to give orders to civil servants, which is a very big departure from the Blair era.
