Boris now officially Mayoral candidate

As we all suspected (well, i know I did) the Tories have overwhelmingly selected Boris Johnson as their candidate for next year's Mayoral elections in London:

There's already been a lot of good ammunition provided on this site against Johnson, and long let it continue so that we can truly wipe the floor with the Tories in 2008.

Another huge blunder for the Tories.

If London votes for this clown then it should have its 'capital city' status taken away from it!

I don't think Ken will have too many worries about Boris.

Never underestimate the gullibility of the electorate. I've spoken to quite a few young people and they are quite taken with this Boris the Buffoon. He'll certainly liven up the campaign and Ken willl have to pull all the stops out. You can guarantee that the Tories will fight a dirty campaign; they always do when they're on the ropes.
