Metronet could go into administration

I'm sick of metronet, they are one big joke, they do a shit job and make money out of it.
Why should Balfour Beatty be allowed to make profits out of track maintenance on London Underground, yet they are forbidden to do so on the mainline?

If metronet does go into administration I would like to see either full public ownership, or, giving the maintenance contracts to Network Rail.

nationalise it if it goes into administration. has anyone heard what Boris said about the bendy buses (which are awful), he said they were 18-meter 'socialist frankfurter buses'

Re: Metronet has gone into administration (#2)

Red Ken was right, Gordon Brown was wrong. Unsurprisingly. So why is the former running London and the latter the whole of the UK?

Re: Metronet could go into administration (#3)

As far as I'm aware Metronet will go into administration as soon as Ken appoints one given they cannot afford to continue operating and have exhausted their debt capacity.

Interestingly, Tubelines - the other PPP on the underground - have not had the same problems as Metronet.

So, one could argue that it was Metronet itself and not the PPP that is at fault in all this.
