Peter Hain's 'women problem'

Why when he doesn't support women does he expect them to support him?

Hain only received nominations from 6 women MPs - 3 of them from Wales. That in itself may not mean much, but I received in the post his promo letter and leaflet - not one women in any of the photographs, not one!

Has he not noticed that the party and affiliated organisations have women members? Did he miss the discussions and arguments the left has had about inclusion?

All the other candidates have managed to include photos of women, why did he chose not to?

At the begining of the year I posted about the poor leaflet the Co-operative Party issued - only 5 women and more than 40 men featured. It could there's a regressive gene in parts of the left about this.

Re: Peter Hain's 'women problem' (#1)

Who said spin was dead under Gordon Brown? Should we introduce a quota for all Labour party photo's so we have a set number of men/women/ethnic minorites/black's/disabled people/Eastern European immigrants? Mr Hain has far more to worry about when you consider what he has been upto around the Cabinet table in terms of trying to undermine the Home Secretary. Never mind the Deputy leadership, does he have a Cabinet future?

Re: Peter Hain's 'women problem' (#3)

there is a huge choice of reasons to attack Peter Hain and I don't think this is the most important one!

Hain in the land of the Dinosaurs. (#4)

Yes. There's a regressive gene the left about this. If it's not flat cap, muffelers, and wippets, forget it! ;-)
