Writ moved for Ealing Southall and Sedgefield byelections

Labour Chief Whip has moved the writ for Ealing Southall and Sedgefield byelections this morning.

The 2 byelections will take place on July 19th.
The 2005 GE results were:

Sedgefield

Labour  58.9%
Con      14.4%
LD        11.9%

According to Conswervative Home Tony Lit will be the Conservative candidate for Ealing Southall, although he has not joined the party yet.

His father stood as an Independent in Ealing Southall in 2001 and got 12.3& coming third (behind Lab and Con and ahead of LD)

His father Atvar Lit founded the popular Asian radio station Sunrise Radio.

Oh great the Lit family are back. I thought we'd seen the last of them. I hope to God the electorate in Southall see beyond the family's status within the community.
