I think it's almost game over for McDonnell now. He even failed to get David Hamilton (who has nominated Brown today). Seriously speaking, if Meacher really had the numbers reported (21), it's pretty clear that they aren't switching to McDonnell. If Meacher's backers weren't willing to switch, but McDonnell's one would have been willing, the choice of McD over MM would have not been very wesy strategically. However I suppose those things are a bit difficult to assess.

I agree, I think Meacher would have got more nominations since he isn't quite as left-wing as McDonnell.

It's looking not too good for McDonnell now, but at least lefties can be comforted by Cruddas now being guarenteed of being in the contest.

Good to see Benn getting closer to the mark as well.

You forgot to include Chris Mullin, who has nominated Brown.
