Johnson the new Prescott?

Avoiding an election

Johnson tells Sky News that any challenger to Brown is unlikely to get the nominations required.  Is Johnson trying to help Gordon Brown in his "coronation" in an effort to cull support from Brown's cohorts

Mr Johnson said: "I believe that I can be a force for unity. The important thing is how we enter into this difficult period of transition."

Can we really bear to have another Deputy PM who, although purporting to be on the side of the working class and the roots of the party, speaks in complete opposition to the left?

Re: Johnson the new Prescott? (#2)

Yes - and here's why: the interests of the working class aren't represented by the left: in fact they're routinely betrayed by the stupid, knee-jerk gesture politicking of the left that makes the rest of us treat you with well-deserved utter disdain.

Re: Johnson the new Prescott? (#3)

So, an increase in the lower rate of tax is serving the working class?
