The 'illiberal' Lib Dem candidate

Phil Moffat is the Lib Dem candidate for the Liverpool area of Croxteth at the forthcoming local elections. This is the same Phil Moffat who took a most 'illiberal' view when the Liverpool Empire Theatre screened 'Jerry Springer the Opera' last June. Mr Moffat took part in a BBC local radio debate with the theatre's manager and a local Anglican Canon who was arguing in favour of allowing the the production to be staged. Mr Moffat is alleged to have told the Canon that he was a disgrace to his ordination vows, that he should be ashamed and embarrassed by his carnal behaviour and that he would one day face the Saviour whom he was happy to mock, and give an account of the deeds done in the flesh.

I wonder what his Lib Dem colleagues make of his views? Tell us Phil - what else do you want to see banned?
