Jack makes a very eloquent case for an elected second chamber.  I didn't hear any arguments in that statement to explain why we should go for a hybrid chamber.  Indeed, he countered one of the arguments I've heard in favour of a hybrid chamber, rather effectively.  Who actually wants a hybrid chamber?  Let's just elect the bloody thing!
