Boris ain't bovvered (to do any research)

Boris Johnson has popped up again after his period of silence, and you have to wonder whether the Tories wish he’d kept quiet a bit longer.

His article [will be uploaded later] in today's The London Paper is a wild-eyed rant at Ken Livingstone on a wide range of topics, none of which suggests that Boris’ lessons on London from local Tory councillors has worked.

First he slags off Ken over the Met Police’s investigation into expense claims on credit cards.  It’s not actually something under Ken’s control, but we’re sure Boris ain’t bovvered about that.

Then he has a pop at Ken for travelling to Delhi to successfully agree a partnership promoting London as a business centre and tourist destination.  Is he planning to stand on a platform of not promoting London?

We all know that Boris doesn’t have any experience of running anything, but this article lacks credibility even by his normal standards.

The London Paper has asked for reader’s comments and letters.

I have texted 'bore' to the London Paper.  Boris is a joke.

I'm a Tory supporter (switched from Labour in 2004) but this and other disasters show just what a shambles the party has become without firm leadership. London deserves much better than this dilettante with his "projects" and I would text the text to the London Paper but thankfully it is academic as I don't live there and don't vote there.

The Tories have succumbed to the spin-over-substance problem which besets modern politics and although I know Boris locally, I met Ken Livingstone on his first campaign for mayor in 2000 and I can honestly say I wouldn't even vote for Boris if I lived in Henley - he was much better as a journalist than as a politician. Howard was right to sack him from the front bench - both parties deserve a worthier opponent than him. And as I said I know him and like him personally...just not politically.

Boris is a walking disaster; imagine London being under Boris for four years; Boris is the nightmare that we all dread.
