Al Gore - "I will not run in 2008"

Nobel Prize winning, former US Vice-President and environmental campaigner Al Gore has ruled out a late entry into the 2008 presidential race.

Gore have an interview to Norwegian broadcaster, NRK, he said he told them he would not run for the White House again.

He said he wanted to focus on his climate change campaigning.

The "losing" Democratic candidate in 2000, told NRK it was a "great honour" to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his climate campaigning.

Asked how the prize would affect his political future, he replied: "I don't have plans to be a candidate again so I don't really see it in that context at all."

So far democratic Senator Hillary Clinton, wife of ex-US president Bill Clinton, is the Democratic front-runner for 2008. However, many have been waiting for Gore to declare...

It is a shame that Gore is not running. As he isn't my support is still with Obama... For now...
