New Leader: new foreign policy? Neo-Con Angst at loss of Blair
The neo-conservatives in the States are already worried about the loss of Tony Blair and its impact on President George W Bush's war on terrorism.
Writing in today's New York Sun, Daily Telegraph Associate Editor Daniel Johnson worries at the direction Britain is taking.
Contrasting Blair's `recognition' that the UK's "values and interests" are more American than European (whatever that means) he attacks critics of Bush's neo-con foreign agenda by saying "the strength of whose anti-Americanism is matched only by the weakness of their patriotism".
Already, reflects Johnson, America is staring in disbelief at the anti-Semitic onslaught in the UK. As the British Left increasingly sides with Islamists, centrists liberals attack the very existence of Israel; all while `Islamofacists' radicalise British Muslims.
Johnson quotes Mark Steyn asking "Who lost Britain?". Answers on a post-card?
