Tory MPs join BNP member in anti-EU group

A member of the BNP is listed as one of the public supporters of the Freedom Association's "Better off out campaign", along with several hard-core Tory anti-Europeans.

Douglas Carswell
Bill Cash
Philip Hollobone
Austin Mitchell
John Whittingdale OBE
Ann Winterton

Together with proclaimed BNP supporter, Giuseppe De Santis. The list can be found at "Better off out" the Freedom association's anti-EU campaign

Yes, Tory MPs are in there with a BNP supporter, but so is Austin Mitchell and he is one of ours! What's your point?

The Freedom Association is an organisation that has links with the Tory Party.

Austin Mitchell is pretty much at the fringes of the Labour Party, whereas Bill Cash was on the Tory front bench just a couple of years ago.

My point is that if the Tories are serious about being a moderate party, then they will all resign and disown the Freedom Association, who deliberately put a BNP supporter on their supporters' list. I'll certainly be letting Austin Mitchell know that I think he should resign too.

I think Bill Cash was on the Tory front bench not because of his soundness on policy but because he is probably the brightest lawyer in the House of Commons. He is back on the fringes of the Tory party now, from whench he came.

Looking at the list, it seems to me to be the usually right wing anti EU lot plus Mitchell. However, former speaker Weatherill being on it gives it an air of respectability.

I do believe that Europe may again become the Tories downfall, and certainly I do agree that this does make the Tories look bad.

The Better Off Out Campaign should consider using anti-fascist organisation 'Searchlight', who I believe screen potential members of political parties and pressure groups for BNP members and ex-members.

Useful info, but apparently the Freedom Association don't "discriminate against" the BNP!
