Office of National Statistics today revised up GDP growth in the first quarter to 0.7% from 0.6%.
Unfortunately I can't post graphs to this blog, but do click on the link below to have a look. After dipping last year, GDP growth is now on an upward trajectory. Employment should start to move upwards too, with a lag of a year to eighteen months. The good news is that manufacturing had it's best peformance since Q4 2004. Stronger GDP growth also usually means increased revenue into the Treasury :-)
