Help Labour win in Kentish Town
Party members from all over London are joining in the campaign to win a crucial seat in a by election in Camden's Kentish Town Ward due to be held on 7 December.
Labour's candidate is former Islington South member Sam McBratney, Bunhill candidate in May's council elections.
Labour councillor Lucy Anderson has risegned her seat (to go to work for the transport department of the Greater London Authority) and a by election has been called for December 7th.
She took the third seat in Kentish Town last May with the Libdems taking the first 2 places.
The Greens weren't far behind.
May 2006 result was:
LibDem1 1421 votes; LibDem2 1268, Labour1 1213, LibDem3 1198, Labour2 1087, Greens1 1057, Labour3 1042, Greens2 772, Greens3 760,
Con1 308, Con2 306, Con3 271
It can potentially be a 3way fight and a Labour hold would be a good result to fight back the Libdems after their big gains in Camden last May.
