I'm torned between:

- Karen Cross, MP for Hasselhoff South West: she's running with the backing of his loyal fans, John McDonnell and Kitty Ussher.
Born as Keeron, she was selected through an AWS after a little operation in Casablanca. Her admission to the AWS caused controversy and was the subject of a tense NEC meeting where a yet to be discovered member used Walter Wolfgang's walking stick to finally get rid of Tony Blair.

- Luke Akehurst, MP for Hackney North and Blair Newington: he's the champion of the right of the party and his platform will advocate the support of the war against France and the merge of the Campaign Group/Labour Representation Committee/Save the Labour Party/ Campaign for Labour Democracy/Labour Left Briefing/others under the new "LLURE: Loony Leftist United Ready for an Expulsion" tag. Influential Peer, Lady Diane Neil-Portillo of This Week's sofa in BBC Borough, has so far refused to back him.

Re: Fantasy Deputy leadership! (#8)

Believe it or not, as long ago as 1994 Larry Whitty as General Secretary issued a guidance note on transsexuals and AWS - so the Labour Party is well prepared. Though I am prepared to conceed that I may be the only living person alive who actually remembers this piece of trivia - which drifted across my Walworth Road desk one day.

Re: Fantasy Deputy leadership! (#9)

Thanks...what the guidance note said about it?

Re: Fantasy Deputy leadership! (#12)

andrew brown all the way

Re: Fantasy Deputy leadership! (#13)

Not David Milliband. That man cannot blog even with three civil servants to help him- or maybe because he has three civil servants to help him.

What about Alex Hilton? Recess Monkey come on and join the gorillas in the Commons!

I'd love to see a fantasy blogger coalition, personally Chris Dillow of Stumbling and Mumbling would have to be Chancellor and Guido chief whip with Iain Dale as a sort of eminence grise- Recess Monkey with his paws on the greasy pole etc.
