Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker!

Iain Dales is moaning that the press are covering the arrest of his mate David Prior. He couldn't have ever covered arrests himself...could he?

Re: Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker! (#1)

Ian Dale is an hack nobody should give that much attention to.

The fact he seems to dominate the political brand of conservatives on the internet should tell us all that there really is no ground to be made up to the tories self proclaimed advantage of political on the internet.

Re: Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker! (#2)

I've read Iain Dale's blog a few times but I really fail to see what the fuss is about, it's hardly edge of the seat stuff.  All he seems to do is copy good stories from other blogs and puts on his own and then takes the credit and runs the theory that political blogs are going to take over the world.  Why intelligent shows such as Newsnight have been prepered to give this man air-time is beyond me.

Re: Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker! (#3)

He's a bit wet and didn't make the Witham shortlist.

Re: Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker! (#4)

Whatever his politics, Dale has done a fair amount for blogging.  I doubt if some bloggers would have anything like the profile they have if he hadn't blazed the trail.

Re: Iain Dale in Hypocrisy Shocker! (#5)

I agree, he's leading the way and 18 Doughty Street is a must viewing for those interested in constructive political discussion. I'd like to see a Labour version of it, and why not kick off  with all the DL candidates sitting around a table in conversation and not giving glib answers as on that awful programme 'Question Time'. It would cost peanuts to produce and can be more easily controlled, in house, rather than having BBC or ITN doing it. Come on Alex, thats the next step.
Having said all that, Dale is still a bit wet.

'18 Doughty Street is a must viewing for those interested in constructive political discussion'

hmm interesting insight an evening of hearing how bad Blair's Britain is and how great blogs are and how great the right-wing is.  Reading a few books or some academic journals would probably be more productive.
